Sara Evans had only one ambition in her life: to create and sing country songs. Evans has been quoted saying, "God has put me on this earth to be an artist." This is according to John Meroney from American Enterprise. "It's the thing I'm passionate about and do, more than anything else that I've ever done, and I'm going achieve it happen." In addition, Evans wanted to succeed by returning to the traditional songs of the country genre, which were re-created by legends like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans considers to be among her top influencers. During the late 1990s, in a time where most promising country singers turned to modern songs with a pop-radio appeal, Evans created her first mark through her performances of country tunes that looked to the past, exemplified by her 1997 debut, True Lies. The album was not greeted with critical appreciation and a nomination from the Academy of Country Music in 1998 for best new female singer, True Lies made little impression. Therefore, for her subsequent release the 1999 album No Place That Far, Evans accepted a plea from producers who persuaded the artist to update her repertoire, and then finally received the recognition she had longed for since childhood. Sara Evans, born on February 5th in 1971 in Columbia Missouri she is an American singer and songwriter. Sara Evans grew up with six of her siblings.
